The ping pong sandbagger

On Thursday one of the students at the language school asked if we wanted to get lunch and play ping pong. I said yes and Gwyn and I went with about 6 other people. We had our first bus riding experience, which was actually very easy, just swipe a credit card when you get on. After about 20 minutes of crowded standing on the bus we arrived at a location a bit north of the train station. It turns out we could have walked there in the same amount of time, which we did to return home. Our host was interested in getting my contact information, even though it was the first time we met and they worked for a foriegn government that is not overly friendly with ours, I declined.

Anyway, they were very good at ping pong, you know holding the paddle dropped down with thumb and forefinger and your pinky sticking out. I did my best for the good old USA, but lost badly even with all the freebies they gave me!

The area was pretty cool, but definitely made for english speakers and had some nice art installations as well.
